Plenty of gardens around here slope more than the owner realises, and the difference between a garden that works and one that doesn't is usually how the levels were handled. We set out levels first, deal with where water is going to go, and build retaining where it's needed — sleepers, blockwork or brick — before anything decorative goes in.
Decking is built on a frame with proper joist spacing and ventilation underneath so it doesn't sag or rot from below. Composite or timber, with newel posts fixed into the frame rather than screwed to a board. Patios are laid on a full mortar bed with falls away from the house and the damp course kept clear.
Then the soft side: topsoil, turf or seed, borders, and planting. Fencing, lighting and a shed or garden room can all be picked up in the same job by the same team, which is usually cheaper and always quicker than booking three separate outfits.

About landscaping
Can you fix a garden that slopes badly?
Yes — that's usually a case of terracing it into level areas with retaining walls, which makes far more of the space usable. It's the single biggest improvement on most sloping plots.
Timber or composite decking?
Timber costs less and looks warmer but needs treating every couple of years. Composite costs more up front and then needs washing and nothing else. Both are fine on a properly built frame.
Do you take the waste away?
Yes. Skips, spoil and old turf are included in the quoted price — we don't leave a pile at the bottom of the garden.
